In April we, once again, supplied, light lunches, teas and refreshments for the Bodmin Nursery Spring Saver Weekend – again, very many thanks to Mark and Linda Lawlor – raising, this time, over £1,200.
We held our last three collecting days as Sainsbury’s Charity of the Year at the end of May and this time the wonderful Cornish Accordion Player, Mike Jenkins joined us on all three days – his music made everyone happy, smiling and donating!
The County League held a flag day on 1st September when we collected in Bodmin, Wadebridge and Camelford raising £232.53.
We were invited to the official opening of the garden area created by a staff member and an ex patient on Anchor Ward and Stroke Unit, using funds supplied by the Friends – it was a very happy afternoon and delightful to see the pleasure this open space gave to the patients and staff.
We again laid a wreath at the Remembrance Ceremony in Bodmin, had a stall at Bodmin Lions Christmas Fair in November, took part in the Christmas Tree Festival at St Petrocs Church and sang carols around the wards.
